Our family right now is composed of a happy couple expecting their first child. It all started when Christopher and I (Melissa) decided to tie the knot on December 31, 2009. We got sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and began our journey as a married couple. In the middle of March 2010, we discovered that we are expecting a baby around November 15, 2010. We have since found out that our baby is a little girl who we plan to name Elizabeth Rose Oveson and plan to call Lizzie.
Here's a little intro to each family member:
Christopher currently works at Sun Products Corporation making the off brand of Oxy Clean. However, when he is not busy working with soap, he enjoys playing dungeons and dragons, acting as dungeon master in dungeons and dragons, and when he finds the time, doing improv (think Whose Line Is It Anyway?). He is hoping to head back to school after the baby to finish his degree (though his major is still undeclared) and find something fun and fulfilling to do as a career.
I am currently a stay at home wife and plan to stay at home after Lizzie joins the family and finish school at Weber State University using their online degree programs. I'm will continue working for a Bachelor of Integrated Science in Health Sciences, Nutrition, and Family and Child Development and Studies. My goal is to either end up as a dietitian with a focus on prenatal and post partum nutrition or to be a lactation consultant (pending on the success of my attempts to breast feed along with the success of breaking into the field). Right now, I'm preparing for our pending move into a bigger apartment and for the (hopefully) natural birth of our little girl. I am studying hypnobirthing to attempt to take on doing a medication free birth (for various reasons) and when those study courses are finished, I plan to begin my study of breast feeding for my own child. When I'm not preparing for our little girl, I play dungeons and dragons and many board and card games.
Elizabeth has been developing for about six months and is due November 15th. All has seemed healthy with her development so far and we are excited to see what she will be like when she arrives.
